Claudine is a director of Salesforce Impact Fund, the $50m impact investment fund of enterprise software producer Salesforces’ corporate venturing unit Salesforce Ventures. The fund focuses on investments from series A to C in enterprise technology companies with a social or environmental impact. It focuses particularly on areas such as education and workforce development, sustainability, diversity and inclusion and enabling technology for the social sector. Start The Conversation is an app to help you have difficult conversations. It was born out of the need we felt to persuade loved ones through conversation to recognize racial injustice in the United States. You can text the app at +1(205)890-3139 with a question or topic and get a relevant response to add to your conversation. You can say things like "Tell me more about police brutality," or "What do you know about infant mortality and race in the US?" or “I want to know about incarceration and race.” The hope is that this app will quickly give you the resources you may need to meaningfully engage in these conversations. We will hold an Edit-A-Thon-style workshop on Sunday July 12th at 2pm where we will edit the database of responses and then hold a second workshop TBD to see how effective the app has been for us and to review the technology behind it.
