ABOUT

Tech & Society is a working group formed in 2018 by graduate students at ITP to a community of critical inquiry at ITP/IMA and within the tech community in general. Through weekly meetings, reading groups, and guest speakers, we are working to prefigure a technological future that prioritizes ethics and justice and that better serves a wider societal demographic.

In response to the racism and injustice that led to the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer, Tech and Society has committed our summer to rapid response programming in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.

We have organized a protest coordination group, a city council calling campaign, a critical thought book club and a series of workshops. Check out our website to learn how to get involved in these activities and subscribe to the newsletter to receive updates.
